For me, these works reflect drawing as an infinite, primitive and private space to express thoughts, fears, and internal jokes, both dark and light.



Brad Benischek is an artist and scenic painter based in New Orleans, Louisiana. His work has appeared at the Contemporary Art Center, Acadiana Center for the Arts, Cathouse FUNeral, New York and many other galleries and art spaces. He has worked with the Italian collective Print About Me and shown at 1646 in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2005, he co-founded Antenna, a visual and literary arts collective with whom he developed the annual 24-hour Draw-A-Thon. He's also the author of the graphic novel Revacuation, about life in post-Katrina New Orleans. He received his BFA from Parsons School of Design and an MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. His work has been seen in numerous publications, on t-shirts, telephone poles and random walls.
