Artist Christina Juran

"I love color and form. I am particularly inspired by the human figure, nature and the great outdoors. Many of my works are drawn from my awe of the natural world and I work both outside directly and in the studio. I am intrigued by working on both formal materials and non-traditional materials. This series of paintings is inspired by our beloved City Park and primarily painted and sketched in City Park. So grateful for it and the incomprehensible beauty. It’s everybodys’ park and there is something new to discover every second. To hear the murmur of talk and laughter and peace. What a gift.  The soul of Louisiana and my roots continuously move me and as they relate to my deep connection to nature, earth and home."   -Christina Juran, 2024
