Over time I experimented with colored pencils, oil pastels, bottled inks and better quality materials. The tools are fancier but, the act of being quiet, slowing down and working on paper continues to help keep me balanced and grounded.
Eddie Ralph Hebert, Artist Statement

Making images on paper with pencils, pens and crayons is my earliest artistic memory. I was drawn to doing it and I have no idea what sparked that interest in me.
Working on paper gives me grounding and a sense of balance and quiet. It's immediate and doesn't require much time to set up.
